Babeș-Bolyai University seeks to fill two Scientific Researcher positions within the project PN-IV-P6-6.1-CoEx-2024-0084 (18 CoEx/2026) – Building Social and Security Resilience by Promoting Research Excellence (SECURE-ESSER). The positions are offered on a fixed-term contract, for the duration of the project funding and implementation period, on a fulltime or part-time basis.

• • hold a doctoral degree in one of the following fields of political science, international relations or European studies, obtained no more than 7 years ago (2019 as the last year of eligibility for the Ph.D., not for receiving the Ph.D.); 
• • have international publishing experience, at least three publications in the last five years (including co-authorship) in international journals outside Romania indexed in Web of Science Core Collections in one of the fields of political science, international relations or European studies. Publications in journals published by MDPI or Cogitatio Press will not be considered, the same regime applies to all other predatory journals; 
• • have sound expertise, proven through publications and other associated scientific activities (e.g. international conferences, lectures, workshops), in at least one of the following topics: the future of violent extremism and radicalisation, the nexus between crime, terrorism and hybrid threats, critical infrastructure resilience, social and human dimensions of cybersecurity, information manipulation and cognitive security, national and societal resilience in the era of artificial intelligence, methodologies in identifying and investigating Security processes; 
• • knowledge of Romanian at a native level or demonstration of an advanced level (level C1/C2).
