announces open competition for the position of Assistant Professor 1 F/M.

The candidates have to conform to the conditions stated in Act of Higher Education Law dated 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland 2024, item 1571).

DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):

• • title/degree: PhD  (doctoral degree in security sciences in the field of social sciences); 
• • teaching experience in higher education institution;
• • the ability to conduct classes in: ICT development and cybersecurity certification, cyber threats and incident management, EU and Polish law on cybersecurity, computer crime, information security in organisations, cross-border protection of personal data, risk management and cybersecurity audits;
• • readiness for scientific development;
• • publications in the field of social sciences in the discipline of security sciences;
• • active participation in scientific conferences;
• • readiness to actively participate in organizational activities for the academic community;
• • conducting classes in Polish;
• • candidate’s F/M declaration that Akademia im. Jakuba z Paradyża (Jacob of Paradies University) in Gorzów Wielkopolski will be their primary workplace.

List of required documents:

1. 1. application addressed to the Rector of Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski, stating the position, discipline of science and duties arising from the relevant position description;
2. 2. personal questionnaire for job applicants;
3. 3. certified copies of diplomas attesting the conferment of titles and degrees, including master’s degree translated into Polish (original diplomas must be available for reference on signing the contract);
4. 4. declaration of the selection of Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski as the candidate’s F/M primary workplace;
5. 5. declaration of compliance with the requirements specified  in  Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education; 
6. 6. list of publications or other scientific achievements. 

Offers shall be submitted:

1. 1. in person, in the HR Office, ul. Fryderyka Chopina 52, Bud. 5, 66-400 Gorzów Wielkopolski (room 210-211);
2. 2. by post, c/o HR Office, ul. Fryderyka Chopina 52, Bud. 5, 

66-400 Gorzów Wielkopolski.

The application should include candidate’s (F/M) declaration that they agree to the processing of personal data accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) of Regulation (EU)  2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers of June 14, 2024 (Journal 
of Laws of 2024, item 928), the Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski has been included in the internal notification procedures in force at the University 
in accordance with the Rector’s Order No. 89/0101/2024 of September 03, 2024.

The deadline for submitting documents is 31 August 2026 (the date on which the documents are listed as received is binding).

The procedure will be concluded before 21 September 2026. 

Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski reserves the right to finalize the competition without a conclusive decision on the selection of a candidate (F/M). 
Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski informs that only selected candidates (F/M) will be contacted.

Documents submitted by candidates whose offers will not be accepted will be destroyed in the presence of a commission, unless the candidate (F/M) requests to have them sent back to an indicated address.
