ANÚNCIO PARA A ATRIBUIÇÃO DE BOLSA DE INVESTIGAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA PÓS-DOUTORAL

Encontra-se aberto concurso para a atribuição de 1 (uma) bolsa de investigação científica pós-doutoral (BIPD) no âmbito do projeto “Getty's Seismic Retrofitting”, financiado pelo Getty Conservation Institute, EUA, nas seguintes condições:

1. Área Científica: Engenharia Civil ou área afim.

2. Requisitos de admissão: Os(As) candidatos(as) à bolsa de investigação científica pós-doutoral (BIPD) deverão satisfazer os seguintes requisitos:

• • Titulares do grau de doutor em Engenharia Civil ou área afim;
• • Não exceder, com a celebração do contrato em causa, incluindo as renovações possíveis, um período acumulado de três anos nesta tipologia de bolsa, seguidos ou interpolados.

Os candidatos que não preencham, cumulativamente, os requisitos descritos serão excluídos.

Fatores preferenciais:

• • Experiência de investigação em movimentos do solo e estruturas de alvenaria;
• • Um mínimo de dez artigos científicos nas áreas indicadas (movimentos do solo, engenharia sísmica e estruturas de alvenaria) publicados com DOI em revistas listadas no Scopus.

3. Plano de trabalhos: O plano de trabalho inclui duas tarefas:

Tarefa 1: Preparação de um artigo de revisão baseado no trabalho desenvolvidos na Universidade do Minho sobre avaliação da segurança sísmica do património construído em alvenaria (2 meses).

Tarefa 2: Elaboração de modelos de estruturas e preparação de um artigo para validação da regulamentação atual de movimentos oscilantes (rocking) fora do plano da alvenaria em caso de diferentes movimentos do solo (2 meses).

4. Legislação e regulamentação aplicável: Lei n.º 40/2004, de 18 de Agosto (Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica), alterada e republicada pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 202/2012 de 27 de agosto, com as atualizações introduzidas pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 233/2012 de 29 de outubro, Lei n.º 12/2013 de 29 de janeiro, Decreto-lei n.º 89/2013 de 9 de julho e Decreto-Lei n.º 123/2019, de 28 de agosto; Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação da FCT, I. P., aprovado pelo Regulamento n.º 234/2012 de 25 de junho de 2012, alterado e republicado pelo Regulamento n.º 326/2013 de 27 de julho de 2013 e alterado pelo Regulamento n.º 339/2015 de 17 de junho de 2015, pelo Regulamento n.º 137-A/2018 de 27 de fevereiro de 2018 e Regulamento n.º 950/2019, de 16 de dezembro.

5. Local de trabalho: O trabalho será desenvolvido ISISE - Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering - do Departamento de Engenharia Civil, Escola de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho, sob a orientação científica do Doutor Paulo B. Lourenço.

6. Duração da bolsa: A bolsa terá a duração de 4 (quatro) meses, com início previsto em setembro de 2026, em regime de exclusividade, conforme regulamento de formação avançada de Recursos Humanos da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). O contrato de bolsa poderá ser renovado até ao limite máximo permitido pela regulamentação aplicável.

7. Valor do subsídio de manutenção mensal: O montante da bolsa corresponde a 1.901,00€, conforme tabela de valores das bolsas atribuídas diretamente pela FCT, I.P. no País (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM-2026.pdf).

8. Métodos de seleção: O método de seleção a utilizar será a avaliação curricular, com a respetiva valoração de 100%.

10. Forma de publicitação/notificação dos resultados: Os resultados finais da avaliação serão publicitados através de ata de seriação, anexa à notificação enviada aos candidatos via e-mail.

11. Prazo de candidatura e forma de apresentação das candidaturas: O concurso encontra-se aberto no período de 09 a 22 de julho de 2026.

As candidaturas devem ser formalizadas, obrigatoriamente, através do envio dos seguintes documentos: Curriculum Vitae, tese de doutoramento e certificado de habilitações.

O investigador responsável pelo projeto reserva-se ao direito de não atribuir a Bolsa de Investigação Científica Pós-Doutoral em concurso em função do resultado de avaliação das candidaturas e da sua adequação aos objetivos do projeto.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR A POST-DOCTORAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

It is now open a call for applications for one (1) Post-Doctoral Scientific Research Fellowship in the framework of the project “Getty's Seismic Retrofitting”, financed by the Getty Conservation Institute, USA, under the following conditions:

1.Scientific field: Civil Engineering or similar field.

2. Admission Requirements: The candidates to the post-doctoral scientific research fellowship (BIPD) should fulfil the following requirements: 

• • Holders of a PhD degree in Civil Engineering or similar field;
• • Not exceeding, with the conclusion of the contract in question, including possible renewals, a cumulative period of three years in this type of grant, consecutive or interpolated.

Preferential factors:

• • Research experience in ground movements and masonry structures;
• • Minimum of ten scientific articles in the indicated areas (ground movements, seismic engineering and masonry structures) published with DOI in journals listed in Scopus.

3. Work Plan: The work plan includes two tasks:

Task 1: Preparation of a review article based on the work developed at the University of Minho on the seismic safety assessment of masonry-built heritage (2 months).

Task 2: Development of structural models and preparation of an article for validation of current regulations on rocking out-of-plane movements of masonry in case of different ground movements (2 months).

4. 5. Workplace and Scientific Orientation: The activities will be developed at ISISE - Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering - of the Civil Engineering Department, School of Engineering of the University of Minho, under the scientific supervision of Professor Paulo B. Lourenço.

6. Duration of the Fellowship: The fellowship will last for 4 (four) months, starting in September 2026, on an exclusive basis, according to the regulation of advanced training in Human Resources of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). The fellowship contract may be renewed up to the maximum limit allowed by the applicable regulations.

7. Value of the Monthly Maintenance Subsidy: The fellowship amount corresponds to 1 901,00 €, according to the table of scholarship values of the FCT, I.P. in the Country (Annex I – Table of Monthly Maintenance Subsidy of the Regulation for Research Fellowships of the FCT I.P. 8. Evaluation and selection criteria and procedures: The selection methodology to be used will be the curriculum evaluation, with the respective valuation of 100%.

The researcher responsible for the project reserves the right not to award the Post-doctoral Scientific Research Fellowship in competition depending on the result of the evaluation of the applications and its suitability for the project's objectives.
