RESEARCH LINE: Analysis and modelling of nitrogen and carbon flows in Spanish agricultural systems with special emphasis on crop systems, their connection with the agricultural system (crops and livestock), and with carbon sequestration in relation to available nitrogen.

TASKS: a) Modelling and spatialisation of nitrogen balances in Spanish cropping systems; b) Modelling of crops in relation to the availability of nutrients in the territory and their degree of connection with livestock; c) Estimates of emissions of the main reactive nitrogen compounds, as well as essential agro-environmental indicators; d) Modelling of carbon sequestration and its connection with nitrogen.
