JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the Stem Cells and Aging Group (Bioengineering Area) at the IIS Biogipuzkoa.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requested profile corresponds to an R2 postdoctoral researcher with a specialization in fundamental and regenerative myology. This knowledge will be applied within the ongoing projects in the lab, studying the role of the skeletal muscle in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Specifically:

ㆍCo-direction of projects applied in competitive calls in the context of ALS, focusing on the muscle-neuromuscular junction.

ㆍCo-supervision of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.

ㆍActively seeking funding through public and private calls.

ㆍWriting scientific papers and disseminating project results.

ㆍDrafting of group projects and scientific reports.

ㆍGeneration of primary muscle cultures derived from patients.

ㆍAnimal experimentation with mouse models, including those related to ALS.

ㆍExperimentation using co-cultures to establish neuromuscular junctions in vitro, and cultures of isolated myofibers from different animal muscles.

ㆍ3D analysis of neuromuscular junctions in mouse models and patient-derived samples.

ㆍData analysis.
