1. By decision of the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, Professor Hermenegildo Fernandes, a tender is open for the award of one Scholarship for Postdoc (Bolsa de Investigação Pós-doutoral).

This grant is funded by Portuguese national funds through Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, under R&D project “Portuguese Surrealism-Abjectionism. From the Underground Pamphlet to the Digital World” (2023.14574.PEX), of the Centre for Lusophone and European Literatures and Cultures, from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon.

2. The scholarship will be awarded for 12 months, and may be renewed up to a maximum of 36 months and during the eligibility of the project.

3. The scholarship will be supervised by Doctor Rui Daniel do Nascimento e Sousa.

4. The grantee will develop research activities such as participating in the development of the database that will be created within the scope of the project, maintaining and updating it as well as research and inventory work related to Luiz Pacheco’s literary estates; contributing to theoretical and practical outputs of the project and the dissemination of those results through scientific events, producing papers for scientific journals, contributing to the project’s collective monograph, and preparing the proposed exhibitions; research in archives and libraries, national and foreign, to study issues associated with the project, namely the contextualization of censorship regimes in the 20th Century in Portugal and their impact on the literary, cultural and biographical context of Luiz Pacheco.

5. Application submission

- published papers or other materials relevant to the application.

The application and all documents associated with must be written in either Portuguese or English.

No required application document may be submitted after the deadline.

For application purposes, diplomas, certificates and transcripts need not be submitted. In lieu, a statement of compliance is required. Official transcripts must be submitted prior to the signing of the contract.

Fellowships applicants must show that they meet the necessary conditions to enrol in the program leading to the attainment of the requested academic degree. Proof of acceptance will be required prior to the signing of the contract.
