Work Environment:

This postdoctoral position in computer science is part of an interdisciplinary project at the intersection of data science, environmental chemistry, and environmental health. The goal is to develop innovative solutions for detecting environmental anomalies, relying on ontologies and machine learning approaches.

Main Mission:

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for developing knowledge representation approaches and anomaly detection methods targeting environmental data related to PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances). You will collaborate with experts from various fields to carry out the following

activities:

Design and enrichment of ontologies to model knowledge about environmental pollutants, with a focus on PFAS.

Development of information extraction models from heterogeneous data sources (scientific texts, environmental databases).

Design of hybrid anomaly detection methods combining machine learning algorithms and ontological reasoning.

Activities:

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define knowledge models.

Integrate and process structured and unstructured data.

Evaluate and validate the developed approaches on real-world datasets.

Contribute to scientific dissemination through publications and presentations.
