The person recruited will be part of a collaborative project between the FEMTO-ST Institute (fibre optic sensors) and the chrono environnement laboratory (hydrogeology) to experiment, develop and implement distributed fibre optic sensor platforms for hydrogeological applications.

- Design, develop and configure measurement protocols.

- Plan and supervise experiments.

- Analyze and process the data.

- Collaborate and work in multidisciplinary teams.

- Write technical reports and disseminate research findings.

Skills/Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in geosciences, applied physics or a related discipline.

The candidate must be familiar with optical fiber and fiber optic metrology.
Previous experience with distributed fiber optic sensors and experimental characterization in photonics is an advantage.
A dynamic attitude and the ability to work within a diverse, multidisciplinary team are necessary.
