Position Summary

Cork University Business School invites applications for a motivated and research-focused individual to join the UCC TEAGASC DAFM-funded EMIT-CHANGE project in the role of Post-Doctoral Researcher. 

This 12-month Post-Doctoral Researcher post offers the opportunity to contribute to an important research project that takes a farmer-centred, bottom-up approach to understanding the adoption of climate mitigation practices in Irish agriculture. It investigates the factors shaping decision-making, the uptake of different measures, and the key motivations and barriers involved. The goal is to generate practical, evidence-based insights that can inform more tailored policy and support strategies to enable climate action on farms, while also contributing to academic literature through a deeper understanding of the socio-cognitive and environment factors that shape practices and behaviours. 

As part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, the successful candidate will play an active role in delivering research that contributes to more effective and sustainable agricultural practices in Ireland and makes a positive contribution to our research and educational offerings.

Post Duration: 12 Months Whole-Time Post

Salary: €45,847 - €52,339 per annum, IUA PD1
