Post-doctoral opportunity in Paleo Herpetology of Anurans available at São
Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The
candidate will work with Dr. Célio Fernando Baptista Haddad in the Herpetology
Laboratory, in the context of the Center for Research on Biodiversity Dynamics and Climate Change (CBioClima), a Research, Innovation and Dissemination
Center (RIDC) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP)
and hosted by the Institute of Bioscience at UNESP, Rio Claro, São PAulo Brazil.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD degree with a thesis in Anuran
Paleontology and relevant publications in the area. Experience in extensive
studies on the evolution of Anura, based on the fossil record of the group, is
desired. Mastery of computerized microtomography, systematics and osteology
of Anura. Proficiency in Portuguese is essential, as the position involves
fieldwork and material collection in remote localities. These circumstances
necessitate fluent communication in Portuguese for efficient operation and
personal safety.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected
candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$
12,000.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the
annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to
the research activity.
