The Rector of the Warsaw University of Live Sciences- SGGW in Warsaw annouces

a multi-stage competition for the position of Professor in a group of research and teaching staff in the field: social sciences or humanities in discipline: sociology at the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Education in the Department of Sociology and Education.

The candidate applying for the above-mentioned position must meet the requirements specified in art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and in § 89 paragraph 1 item 1) of the University Statute - Annex to Resolution No. 63 - 2022/2023 of the Senate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences of 29 May 2023 on the introduction of amendments to the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the announcement of the consolidated text of the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

The candidate is expected to:

- hold the title of professor in the field of social sciences or humanities and have distinguished and internationally recognized scientific achievements in the field of sociological sciences;

- at least a good knowledge of English or another congress language, to a degree that allows independent writing of scientific publications in that language and presenting reports at scientific conferences;

- knowledge of Polish to the extent necessary to conduct classes with students in that language.

Specific Requirements

Required documents:

1) an application for employment addressed to the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW);

2) a personal questionnaire (the form is issued by the secretariat of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences);

3) a research CV (autorreport) and a CV;

4) a statement confirming compliance with the requirements of art. 113 of the Act on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) (the form is issued by the secretariat of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW);

5) a copy of a diploma/certificate confirming the award of the title of professor in the field of social sciences or humanities or another document confirming the title of professor in the field of social sciences or humanities

6) a statement of the candidate or a copy of a certificate confirming at least a good knowledge of English or another congressional language.
