ARENA Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo (UiO) invites applications for two temporary positions as post-doctoral fellow (SKO 1352) within political science, sociology, European studies or another relevant social sciences discipline. The post-doctoral positions are hosted by ARENA and funded by the European Research Council project Egalitarian but not Equal: Sectoral Wage Formation and Gendered Wage Differentials (WAGE).

The WAGE project is a comparative, multi-level research project that offers a unique and in-depth examination of how collective wage formation operates and evolves across Europe. It specifically focuses on the gendered dimensions of collective bargaining by studying its historical development, current practices, and potential future directions in three key countries: Germany, Norway, and Sweden. The project centers its data collection on the metal and care sectors and employs qualitative and ethnographic research methods.

The two successful applicants will form a research team in the WAGE project alongside project leader Ines Wagner at ARENA.

The first post-doctoral fellow (PD 1) will work on the cases of Norway and Sweden, and the second post-doctoral fellow (PD 2) will work on the case of Germany. Please specify in your application which of the two positions, or both, you are applying for.
