Requirements:

• Prior experience in mouse behavioral tests and analysis; experience in two-photon imaging will be considered a great advantage.
• Strong interest in neuroscience research and exceptional motivation for scientific research (demonstrated via publications, references of the candidate’s thesis tutor and mentors).
• Doctoral degree obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project. The period of 7 years may be extended by the duration specified in the NCN regulations.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Project description:

We seek a postdoctoral researcher to tackle a project evolving around in vivo imaging of brain activity. We will decipher how exposure to natural and addictive rewards changes the activity of neuronal ensembles within the central amygdala. We will select neuronal populations based on their functional connectivity to other brain structures. Thus, an experience in mouse behavioral tests and analysis is a must. A background in projections tracing, in vivo imaging, and programming will be considered very advantageous.

Scope of work:

• Experiments with two-photon in vivo imaging in mice

Employment conditions:

• full-time fixed-term employment contract
• salary: ca 9.500 PLN (gross) per month
• employment period: 4 years
• the date of the project start: July 2025
