Sorbonne University is a multidisciplinary research university established on January 1st, 2018, from the merger of Paris-Sorbonne and UPMC.

The central governance focuses primarily on promoting institutional strategy, steering operations, developing partnerships, and diversifying resources.

In addition to their individual research, the selected candidate is expected to contribute to research outreach and engagement within Sorbonne University’s “Europe” Initiative.

Key Activities:

• Conduct an individual research project
• Organize a research seminar on a theme aligned with the “Europe” Initiative
• Take part in research activities related to the Initiative
• Organize a study day or conference on a relevant theme

Projects must align with one of the thematic axes of the “Europe” Initiative. Proposals demonstrating interdisciplinarity or contributing to larger research programs (e.g., ANR, ERC, Horizon Europe, COST) will be given priority.

Candidates must contact and obtain written support from a research director involved in the “Europe” Initiative, who will serve as their advisor throughout the project.

The work will be performed in French. The postdoctoral must be completely fluent in written and spoken french.
