Description (subject, requirements, comments)

The competition concerns taking up the position of University Professor in the group of teaching staff at the Department of Power Engineering, Machines and Electric Drives of the Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering as a basic or additional job.

The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).

An University Professor will be responsible for conducting selected teaching classes in the field of lectures, auditorium exercises, laboratory exercises, and project exercises, for at least 300 hours during the academic year for full-time and part-time studies. The fields in which the University Professor will conduct classes include: electrical engineering, automation and electronics.

Subjects (selected from the thematic scope listed below, depending on the candidate's education) that are planned to be entrusted to the employee are related to electronics, automation, power electronics, electrical machines, electric drive, electrical engineering, and power engineering.

It is expected that, in addition to teaching activities, the candidate will also be a supervisor of engineering diploma theses and will participate in organizational activities in the field of teaching and the organization of didactics (e.g. development/preparation of laboratory exercises, laboratory instructions, participation in program councils for fields of study).

An additional advantage will be the candidate's scientific achievements in the field of technical sciences (especially in the disciplines of automation, electronics and electrical engineering).

The candidate is required to meet the following qualification criteria:

• hold a postdoctoral (habilitation) degree in technical sciences related to automation, electronics, power electronics, electrical engineering, power engineering, energy, mechatronics, or related fields,
• have pedagogical preparation or be willing to complete a course in pedagogical preparation, and have predispositions to conduct teaching classes with students,
• in the case of foreigners, knowledge of spoken Polish sufficient to conduct classes with students is required,
• knowledge of English sufficient to conduct classes with foreign students welcome.

5. employment certificates from recent years,
6. a statement that the candidate meets the conditions specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended),
7. a statement that Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology will be the primary/additional* place of employment of the candidate,
8. a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data for the purpose of the recruitment process in accordance with the provisions of the general regulation on the protection of personal data of 27 April 2016 (Journal of Laws UE L 119 of 04/05/2016).

Competition procedures are conducted in accordance with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment of Researchers (OTM-R).

INFORMATION CLAUSE

Pursuant to Art. 13 of the general regulation on the protection of personal data of 27 April 2016 (Journal of Laws UE L 119 of 04/05/2016) on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / WE - general regulation on data protection (Journal of Laws UE L 119/1 of 04/05/2016), Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology informs that:

3. Your personal data will be processed:
   1. for the purposes of the currently announced recruitment - pursuant to Art. 6 sec. 1 letter b of the general regulation on data protection of April 27, 2016 and the Labor Code of June 26, 1974 in order to conclude a contract,
   2. for future recruitments if you give your consent pursuant to Art. 6 sec. 1 letter a of the regulation, expressed in writing for the period specified in the consent declaration,
4. Your personal data, in the event of failure to conclude the contract, will be kept for a period of up to 3 months or the time specified in the consent statement,
5. The recipients of your personal data will only be entities authorized to obtain personal data on the basis of legal provisions and entities cooperating in the recruitment process, your data will not be transferred to a third country, except for cases resulting from your express request,
6. You have the right to request the administrator to access your personal data, the right to request rectification, deletion or limitation of processing, the right to object to the processing, the right to transfer data, and if consent is granted, the right to withdraw it in any time,
7. Providing personal data for ongoing recruitment is a statutory requirement of the Labor Law. The consequence of not providing data is exclusion from recruitment.
8. Providing personal data for the purposes of future recruitment is voluntary and does not affect the course and results of ongoing recruitment.
9. You have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory body - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office,
10. The personal data provided by you will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling, as referred to in Article 22 paragraphs 1 and 4 of the GDPR.
