The “Post-Transcriptional regulation of the adaptive immune response and tumorigenesis” team led by Manuel Diaz-Munoz (https://www.infinity.inserm.fr/en/research-teams/team-2-manuel-diaz-munoz/) at the Toulouse Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (Infinity https://www.infinity.inserm.fr/en/ ) is seeking a Postdoctoral researcher to investigate the role of a MAP3K in anti-tumoral immunity. The project is coordinated by Dr. Virginie Mieulet in collaboration with Dr. Fred Masson at Infinity (https://www.infinity.inserm.fr/en/research-teams/team-8-n-blanchard/) and Pr. Gérard Zalcman at Bichat Hospital in Paris (https://recherche-hopitauxnord-u-pariscite.aphp.fr/structures-de-recherche/centre-dinvestigation-clinique-plurithematique-cic-pt-1425-bichat-claude-bernard/ ).

The project aims at understanding the MAP3K intrinsic functions in tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and tumor growth, uncovering the MAP3K8-mediated translational programs that are involved and setting the clinical relevance of inhibiting the translation machinery for poor-prognosis lung cancer patients. To achieve our objectives, we will use cutting-edge technologies (CITE-seq, RNA-seq, Ribo-seq) and combine analysis in readily available relevant cellular models of cancer-experienced T cells, syngeneic mouse models and cohorts of lung cancer patients.

Main activities :

• The applicant is expected to design the methodology, perform, acquire, analyse and interpret data for all the required experiments
• Candidates should master flow-cytometry analysis, cell sorting, in vitro T cell-cultures, and animal-experimentation, including various injections, oral gavage and organ recuperation
• Follow scientific and methodological developments in the field
• Develop new scientific interaction and collaborations
• Give support to other lab members
• Support the development of students, interns and young investigators
• Presentation of results in local, national and international events
