THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR MATERIALS PHYSICS, headquartered in Magurele, Atomistilor Street, No. 405A, Ilfov County, is organizing a competition to fill one postdoctoral and one doctoral position for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extension up to 1 year, within the ERANET-HerAqua project – Innovative electrochemical monitoring of female hormones using carbon nanostructure-based electrodes, as follows:

• For postdoctoral position. One position in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Engineering – The successful candidate will be required to: develop research in microfluidic systems and biosensors based on nanostructured materials; participate in the writing of scientific articles and patent applications; participate in the preparation of reports; participate in the dissemination of results. Experience in the development and characterization of new electrode materials for applications in the field of biosensors; experience in the development of microfluidic structures and their integration with biosensing systems. Advanced knowledge of electrochemistry, microfabrication methods; good knowledge of biomolecule immobilization methods; good command of the English language. Experience demonstrated through articles in high-impact ISI journals as first author, participation in international conferences with oral presentations.

• For doctoral position. One position in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Engineering – The successful candidate will be required to: develop research in microfluidic systems and biosensors based on nanostructured materials; participate in the writing of scientific articles and patent applications; participate in the preparation of reports; participate in the dissemination of results. Knowledge of physics/chemistry/biochemistry/materials engineering; good knowledge of English.
