Work environment : Institut Desbrest d’Epidemiologie et de Santé Publique (IDESP) UMR 1318 Université de Montpellier - INSERM, 300 avenue Jeanbrau, 34093 Montpellier, France.

Main mission : The study's mission is to assess the impact of public policy on the use of non-pharmacological interventions (NPI) in France by analysing their funding and the influence of reimbursement arrangements on the behaviour of prescribers, practitioners and patients. The project combines a theoretical analysis at national level, drawing on economic literature, with a local exploratory study of private and public establishment for elderly people in the Montpellier area, with a view to producing public policy recommendations.

Activities : Literature review, exploratory study, publication of scientific articles on health economics and public health field

Skills/Qualifications

(1) good knowledge of French public health policies and healthcare organisations,

(2) proficiency in economic analysis related to health and the prevention of loss of autonomy,

(3) ability to travel to targeted sites in Montpellier,

(4) experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams,

(5) proficiency in French for qualitative interviews,

(6) proficiency in English for  publications.
