announces the open call for the position of Assistant Professor (post-doc) in the group of research staff in the research project NCN OPUS 22, pt. "Assessment of salinity tolerance in shaping variability and speciation in model grasses of the genus Brachypodium", led by Elżbieta Wolny, PhD.

Applications to the open call may be submitted by those who meet the conditions specified in Section 113 of the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Law 2024 item 1571).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• conducting experiments using stress and salinity shock with the use of Brachypodium originating from natural populations as a part of the research project NCN OPUS 22, pt. "Assessment of salinity tolerance in shaping variability and speciation in model grasses of the genus Brachypodium", led by Elżbieta Wolny, PhD. The experiments would include most of all:

    º characterizing the reactions of Brachypodium for stress conditions,

    º morphological, anatomical and cytogenetic analyses

    º preparation of specimen for examination of cell walls’ structure,

    º preparation of samples for proteomic analyses and RNAseq analyses,

    º bioinformatic analyses,

    º evaluation of the selected gene expression of the genes engaged in reactions for stress conditions (RT-qPCR),

    º editing the experiments’ results,

    º preparation of manuscripts and publications,

• realization of organizational duties in accordance with the Individual Assignment of Duties.
