We are looking for an academic personality (f/m/d) which further develops the subject of French

The researcher we are seeking

  • • has proven expertise in questions of didactics and applied linguistics of French and Francophonie from a multilingual or tertiary language perspective and conducts empirical research in this field.
  • • develops cooperation between the subjects of French and English at the Institute of Multilingualism and cooperates with other universities.
  • • participates in (inter- or trans-)disciplinary research projects and raises third-party funding.
  • • supports the internationalization of the university in the field of research and teaching with French-speaking countries through his/her work.
  • • conducts action-oriented and digitally transformative courses in French at the Institute for Multilingualism in the BA/MA degree programs for primary and secondary school teachers. He/she is committed to transferring innovative teaching and learning formats and his/her research results to schools and other educational institutions.
  • • is involved in academic self-administration and ideally contributes to the university's profile areas.

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Requirements for appointment are a relevant university degree, an above-average doctorate, and proof of three years of teaching experience in accordance with § 51 (2) LHG.
  • • The position is particularly aimed at international applicants and early-career researchers.
  • • We expect very good German language skills.
