The National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies (INCDTIM), Cluj-Napoca, announces the opening of a selection competition for filling one full-time fixed-term position of Scientific Researcher (Postdoctoral level) – Biology, 8 hours/day, for a fixed-term employment contract, from 1 February 2026 to 30 June 2026, within the research project entitled:

“Synthesis of Dendrimers Containing Sulfonium Ions in the Backbone for Antibacterial Applications”, Project code: PNRR 108 / 31.07.2023

Job description (temporary position)

• The selected candidate will be involved in the research activities of the above-mentioned project, including, but not limited to:

• • Investigation and evaluation of the antibacterial properties of polymeric materials synthesized within the project;
• • Design and execution of microbiological experiments;
• • Analysis, interpretation, and reporting of experimental data;
• • Contribution to scientific reports and project deliverables.

Specific requirements for the Scientific Researcher (Postdoctoral) position

• • PhD degree in Biology;
• • Experience in laboratory techniques for the characterization of polymeric materials, including structural, spectroscopic, and microbiological analyses;
• • Solid knowledge of the physico-chemical and biological properties of polymeric materials;
• • Previous experience in applied research or participation in similar scientific projects constitutes an advantage;
• • Scientific writing skills and ability to prepare research reports;
• • Advanced English language proficiency, required for drafting scientific reports and scientific publications.
