Physicist – 1 position

Work Schedule: full-time (8 hours/day)

Employment Period: Fixed-term, 01.02.2026–31.01.2027

Competition Date: 14 January 2026 Time: 11:00 AM

Venue: IMT Bucharest headquarters - Str. Erou Iancu Nicolae no. 126 A, Voluntari, Ilfov

II. Application File Contents:

  1. Letter of intent (free format);
  2. Curriculum vitae signed by the applicant (free format);
  3. Copies of higher education diplomas, transcripts, and other documents certifying specialized training;
  4. Copy of the identity card;
  5. Copy of the marriage certificate (if applicable);
  6. Copy of the employment record book or certificates attesting work experience and/or specialty experience (if applicable).

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Graduate of a technical faculty;
  • • PhD in physics;
  • • Proven experience is considered to be a plus;
  • • Romanian or other EU member state citizen;
  • • Resident in Romania;
  • • Very good (written, spoken) knowledge of Romanian and/or English.

Specific Requirements

  • • a. Basic knowledge in plasma physics and micro-nano fabrication technological processes;
  • • b. Basic knowledge in processes and methods used in micro/nanotechnology is considered to be an advantage;
  • • c. Basic knowledge of safety and occupational health and safety regulations for working in clean rooms and chemistry laboratories with special cleaning conditions.

Selection Process

  • • 1. Stage I - Application File Analysis (Eliminatory): Only candidates who have submitted all required documents and meet the participation criteria will proceed to the interview stage.
  • • 2. Stage II - Interview (14 January 2026, at 11:00 AM, IMT Bucharest).
  • • 3. The list of candidates accepted after the application file analysis and the final results will be published on the IMT Bucharest website: www.imt.ro.
