ANNOUNCES VACANCY

For the appointment to:

The temporarily vacant research and teaching position of assistant professor in Humanities, field of Archaeology, branch of Antique Archaeology, at the Section of Roman Provincial, Late Antique and Early Christian Archaeology of the Department of Archaeology, for a fixed-term, full-time employment, as a temporary substitute until the return of the employee – 1 employee (m/f)

Along with a signed application, the applicants need to enclose:

• • a signed CV (maximum 1 page long)
• • a certificate from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) containing information on the applicant from their database
• • a copy of a certificate proving the level of education required and/or the obtained academic title
• • bibliography and offprints of articles pertinent to the appointment, and a detailed presentation of scientific, teaching, and professional activities
• • a certificate stating that the applicant’s diploma acquired abroad has been approved by the Croatian authorities
• • a copy of a certificate proving any previous selection to an academic title
• • proof of citizenship; foreign citizens need to enclose a certificate of proficiency in the Croatian language (advanced level)

CV, bibliography, and information on scientific, teaching, and professional activities must be submitted electronically (on a USB flash drive).

Conditions:

Applicants (m/f) are expected to meet the requirements prescribed by the Science and Higher Education Act (as published in Narodne novine, no. 119/22).

Advantages:

• • teaching experience and published scientific papers in the field of Roman provincial archaeology
• • work and research experience at scientific and/or research institutions and projects
• • previous scientific activity (participation in scientific research projects, published papers, conference presentations)

In applying for the vacancy, the applicants are in outmost accordance with collecting, using and further processing the data for vacancy filling purposes conducted by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, as the head of personal data collection and as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Act (as published in Narodne novine, no. 106/12) and the General EU Directives 2016/679.

The applicants who claim the right of priority in employment based on special regulations must invoke that right in their application and submit the prescribed documentation, which serves as evidence of the advantage they claim. The evidence presented can be taken into consideration only under equal conditions.
