The work within the project Every Breath You Take: Electrospun Membranes as Innovative Components for a New Generation Air Filters for Microplastic Analysis and Removal will concern in particular: Fabrication and optimisation of the production of electrospun membranes. Selection of electrospun membranes for further testing and evaluation of the impact of environmental conditions on MP sampling. Validation of the membrane based technology for the airborne MP removal. Evaluation of protocols for airborne MP analysis and involvement in the production of electrospun membranes for biocatalyst immobilisation. Literature review, preparation of scientific publications and project reports.

The candidate's responsibilities will include:

- Planning and conducting of experiments within the project;

- Collecting and drawing conclusions from the obtained data to plan further experiments;

- Analysing and compiling the obtained research results; participating in the preparation of publication manuscripts and graphical presentation of the results; supporting the project manager in the preparation of project reports and publications;

- Participation in the promotion of the project results by preparing the obtained research results for presentation at scientific meetings/conferences, and presentation of the obtained results in English and/or Polish;

- Participation in the organization of laboratory operations;

- Assistance to less experienced members of the project team in other research conducted in the group;

- participation in supervising the work of students/ doctoral students to gain experience in mentoring less experienced colleagues.

Skills/Qualifications

• • Obtaining a doctoral degree no earlier than 12 years before January 1, 2026.
• • Obtaining a doctoral degree in an entity other than Poznan University of Technology.
• • During the period of drawing a salary within the framework of this project, the person employed within the framework of this project will not draw any other remuneration from funds allocated as direct costs from research projects financed within the framework of the Polish National Science Centre competitions;
• • During the period of drawing remuneration within the framework of this project, a person employed within the framework of this project will not draw remuneration from another employer based on an employment contract, including an employer based outside the territory of Poland.
