 JUST-CIRCLE contributes to advancing the objectives of the European Circular Economy Action Plan by making sustainable products and services the norm, empowering consumers and public buyers through transparent and participatory approaches and demonstrating circularity in fundamental sectors for the economy.  By integrating sustainability accounting, lifecycle analysis, and socially responsive business model innovation, the project will directly support the CEAP’s ambitions to ensure less waste, enhance regional and urban circularity, and make circularity work for people as well as for economies. Thus, the general objective of Just- Circle is: JUST-CIRCLE’s general objective is to design, test, and validate integrated frameworks for sustainability accounting, lifecycle impact assessment, and responsible circular business-model innovation that enable industry and social-economy actors to meet EU Green Deal/CEAP targets while strengthening competitiveness and user uptake. More specifically, JUST CIRCLE researches business models that are socially inclusive, behaviour-aware, and financially sound, for business replication and policy making. 

Established researcher, knowledge in project field

Specific conditions

1. 1. level of studies: higher education completed with a PhD;
2. 2. area of studies: economics/ business administration/ cybernetics and statistics/ economic informatics/ finance/ or similar fields;
3. 3. skills and abilities:
4. 4. solid practical experience in statistical and stochastic modeling applicable to microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, international economic relations and sustainability; 
5. 5. previous experience within similar projects will be considered a major advantage. 

Mandatory requirement: the candidate must hold a PhD degree and have previous research experience.

• • Analyzing and optimizing financial performance for sustainable circular business growth
• • Analyze empirical financial and operational data on circular business models, market adoption, revenue streams, and stakeholder engagement, using quantitative and qualitative methodologies, stakeholder reporting, case-based analysis, and data modeling to support business evaluation, strategy validation, and financial impact.
