2 - Description of the offer

The Fundação Minerva – Cultura – Ensino e Investigação Científica, founding body of Universidade Lusíada, which includes the Centro de Investigação em Psicologia para o Desenvolvimento (CIPD), announces a call for applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in the scientific area of Education Sciences and Psychology. This fellowship is financed by national funds through the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. under project 2023.13475.PEX. 

2.1. Work plan and objectives to be achieved

The successful candidate will contribute to the the project "Promoting Quality Education through Parental Involvement: Updating models and piloting innovative interventions for the digital age" by undertaking the following activities: 

1. Identifying, recruiting and managing participating schools and individuals;
2. Systematic literature review
3. Collecting data with adults and adolescents (qualitative and quantitative methodologies)
4. Processing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data;
5. Collaborating in the writing of scientific reports and articles, and presenting findings at scientific meetings
6. Providing guidance to collaborating students;
7. Offering administrative and management support for the project;
8. Assisting with the dissemination of project results at scientific meetings, public engagement event, and on social media.

Scientific supervision of this research fellowship will be provided by Prof. Doutor Richard Inman.

The fellowship holder is expected to submit a final report at the conclusion of the fellowship period, in accordance with applicable regulations, for evaluation by the supervising professor.

2.2. Fellowship duration and conditions for its renewal, where applicable

The fellowship will last 13 months and will be conducted on an exclusive basis.

2.3. Application Procedure - Required documentation for evaluation and contractualization

Applications must be submitted by email and include the following documents:

1. Identification details (Citizen's Card, identity card, or passport);
2. A detailed curriculum vitae (CV) including name, address and e-mail address;
3. Copies of qualification certificate(s) and the respective recognition of the academic degree(s) if obtained at a foreign higher education institution;
4. Up to three (3) relevant publications (co-)authored by the candidate in pdf format
5. A Motivation letter in English (max. 1000 words);
6. Other documents demonstrating experience and knowledge deemed relevant.

Please note that academic degrees obtained outside of Portugal require official recognition by a Portuguese institution, in accordance with Decreto-Lei No. 66/2018, of August 16, and Portaria No. 33/2019, of January 25. Presentation of the record of registration is mandatory for signing the research fellowship contract. Further information can be found at:
