Description of the project:
The project aims to identify climate-sensitive zoonoses that pose highest risks to Austria. It seeks to improve understanding of how climate change affects zoonotic disease dynamics and to develop targeted strategies that support policymakers in strengthening national preparedness and response.



Specific Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in (veterinary) public health, epidemiology, infectious disease ecology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in zoonotic disease epidemiology, preferably with experience in One Health or climate-health research. Proficiency in systematic reviews, survey methods, and/or causal inference is essential, along with programming skills (e.g., in R or Python). Fluency in English is required; German is an asset. The position requires both independent work and collaboration across disciplines and institutions.
