The aim is to collaborate in the research line of the project called ‘Environmentally Aware Scheduing’ with researchers from the iScOp group. The work will be aimed at modelling, developing and evaluating solutions for scheduling problems with energy consumption objectives. Different Artificial Intelligence techniques such as metaheuristics or reinforcement learning will be used.


Skills/Qualifications

Solid background in foundations of computer science and artificial intelligente.

Specific Requirements

Experience in dealing with combinatorial optimization problems with different Artificial Intelligence techniques such as heuristic search, metaheuristics or reinforcement learning.

Experience in software developing with languages such as C++, Java, Python, and design and verification of non-trivial algorithms.

Capability for writing technical reports and scientific papers in English.
