At AMADE (Analysis and Advanced Materials for Structural Design), a research institute at the University of Girona (UdG), we are internationally recognised for our leadership in innovation and scientific excellence in the field of structural composite materials.

Our research focuses on developing advanced solutions for strategic sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, and marine transport, as well as civil engineering and emerging areas like sustainable hydrogen technologies.

Our team, ranked among the top 2% most cited researchers worldwide (Stanford University), leads European research projects and collaborates with prestigious international companies and institutions.

We are currently looking for motivated postdoctoral researchers to jointly apply for the Beatriu de Pinós program — a competitive Catalan call offering a three-year postdoctoral contract. The program is open to researchers who defended their PhD between 01/01/2018 and 31/12/2023.

At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain.

• Successful candidates will join one of AMADE’s research lines, which include (among others):

• • Constitutive modelling of the mechanical behaviour of thermoset and thermoplastic composites
• • Development of robust design methods
• • Uncertainty quantification and management in structural design
• • Processing optimisation and thermal analysis of polymers
• • Non-destructive testing
• • Experimental characterisation of mechanical behaviour under static and dynamic loads, including cryogenic environments
• • Sustainable Composites
• • Strengthening of civil concrete structures
• • Etc.
