The candidate is expected to:

• • hold at least a doctoral degree in social sciences or humanities in the discipline of pedagogy;
• • have experience in conducting research in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of pedagogy, documented by appropriate achievements in the form of authorship or co-authorship of at least 20 scientific monographs or chapters in monographs or scientific articles (including at least 12 in scientific journals) that were published in publishing houses or journals included in the list applicable for the year of their publication, referred to in § 87, sections 1 and 4 of the University Statute, and after obtaining the postdoctoral degree, at least 5 scientific monographs or chapters in monographs or scientific articles (including at least 3 in scientific journals) that were published in publishing houses or journals included in the list applicable for the year of their publication;
• • Obtaining an average annual number of points awarded for scientific articles, scientific monographs, or chapters in scientific monographs from research activities (over the last 2 calendar years) that is at least 50% higher than the minimum average annual number of points required to obtain a positive assessment of research activities for an academic teacher employed as an assistant professor, as specified in the academic teacher evaluation rules in force on the date of application submission (the minimum average annual number of points required to obtain a positive assessment of research activities for an academic teacher employed as an assistant professor is 120 points);
• • Experience in managing a project involving research or development work or the implementation of investments related to education and scientific activities, the maintenance of research equipment, a research station (SPUB), or special IT equipment (SPUBi), financed through a competitive procedure by a domestic or foreign institution or an international organization, or having completed a total of at least eight weeks of documented research internship at a foreign research center;
• • documented teaching achievements, authoring textbooks, or managing teaching or educational projects as part of competitions with external research funding institutions;
• • documented achievements in the education of scientific staff in the form of serving as a supervisor or assistant supervisor in at least one doctoral dissertation or doctoral degree awarding procedure, or providing scientific supervision as a supervisor or assistant supervisor of a doctoral student at a doctoral school, or preparing at least one review of a doctoral dissertation or habilitation procedure;
• • at least good knowledge of English or another congressional language, sufficient to independently write scientific publications in that language and present reports at scientific conferences;
• • command of Polish sufficient to conduct classes with students in that language.

Specific Requirements

Required documents:

1. employment application addressed to the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW);
2. personal questionnaire (form issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) or by email);
3. academic curriculum vitae (resume);
4. statement confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (form issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) or by email);
5. copy of diploma/certificate confirming the award of a doctoral degree and/or a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities in the academic discipline of pedagogy, or another document confirming the possession of a doctoral degree and/or a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities in the academic discipline of pedagogy;
6. list of academic achievements, including a list of scientific publications with the number of points earned;
7. confirmation of project management or completion of a research internship;
8. a list of teaching and organizational achievements;
9. a statement or copy of a certificate confirming at least good knowledge of English or another congressional language.
10. a declaration from the candidate regarding the declaration authorizing them to be included among employees conducting research activities (so-called N number) if employed at SGGW.
