We are offering a 2 year position for a postdoctoral fellow in computational neuroscience. The project is focused on understanding the dynamics of neuronal dendritic trees that include nonlinear processes. Our goal is to understand how dendrite interactions sculpt ongoing electrical activity in dendrtiic trees, how these are modulated by the biophysical properties of the neuron and what computations these dynamics support. The postdoc will work on both numerical modelling and mathematical analysis, hence a background in dynamical systems theory, operator methods is required. Experience in mathematical neuroscience and experience working with Koopman operator methods is desired.
