Requirements for selection to the positions:

• - Level 8.2. - acquired academic degree of Doctor of Science in the field of biomedical and/or natural sciences related to the interdisciplinary field of biotechnology in biomedicine and drug research
• - knowledge of English,

Additional requirements and advantages:

• - presentation of previous professional and scientific research work with a list of works
• Advantage - experience in recombinant DNA techniques, protein and nucleic acid analyses and bioinformatics

Candidates for the competition for selection for associate positions, in addition to evidence of meeting the requirements (and possibly advantages), must also submit:

• - a signed application for the competition,
• - a CV,
• - a copy of an identification document,
• - a copy of a diploma of completed doctoral studies and evidence of meeting other requirements and advantages

Specific Requirements

Candidates who completed their studies outside the Republic of Croatia are required to submit a certified translation of the document into Croatian and Latin script during the employment selection procedure and, if necessary, an opinion from a competent authority on the candidate's foreign educational qualification (the need is assessed by the employer).

With candidates who submit a timely and orderly application and meet the formal requirements of the competition, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development, University of Rijeka, may conduct an interview to test the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the tasks and duties of the position for which they are applying.

Applications for the competition may be submitted by persons of either gender. A candidate who does not respond to the interview will be considered to have withdrawn his application for the competition and will no longer be considered a candidate. The Faculty reserves the right to make a decision not to select a candidate or to cancel the competition without any specific explanation.
