Position available within the research project entitled: “Recovering Past Stories for the Future: A Synergistic Approach to Textual and Oral Heritage of Small Communities”, Restory.

We are seeking a motivated researcher specializing in history (16th to 18th century) to join an interdisciplinary project focused on the recycling strategies of historical communities in Romania and the contemporary uses and reuses of past heritage. The successful candidate will conduct research activities, analyze chancery texts produced in Transylvania in German, Hungarian, and Latin, will contribute to understanding how late medieval and early modern heritage is reinterpreted and integrated into modern cultural and social contexts.


Skills/Qualifications

  • • Background in literature and cultural anthropology is desirable.
  • • Experience in recording and curating oral history interviews
  • • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • • PHD in Cultural Anthropology
