Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

EDUCATION: PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology (Mandatory)

COMPUTING/DATA MANAGEMENT:

Training and experience in the creation, management, and exploitation of multidisciplinary archaeological databases, integrating archaeological, anthropological, chronological, and archaeometric data into a single working framework (Desirable)

Experience in digitisation and documentation (of historical archives and museum catalogues), with the ability to organise metadata and ensure data traceability and reproducibility (Desirable)

Training and experience in statistical analysis. (Desirable)

Training and experience in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). (Desirable)

LANGUAGES (Desirable):

English: sufficient level for scientific writing, reading international academic literature, and communication with international teams.

German: sufficient level for consulting primary sources, accessing museum collections, and collaborating with institutions in central Germany.

WORKING EXPERIENCE (Desirable):

Work experience in the prehistoric archaeology of Central Europe and the Iberian Peninsula.

Participation in competitive research projects (national or international).

Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration with international teams and academic institutions, museums, and laboratories.

Experience in digitisation and documentation of archaeological material

Benefits:

26.000 € (Gross annual)

• Academic record – 40 points

PhD in prehistoric archaeology: 40; Equivalent PhD: 20; Other PhD: 5

• Work experience – 40 points

Experience in archaeology of Central Europe and the Iberian Peninsula: >2 years: 20, 1-2 years: 10; Participation in competitive research projects: 10; Management and analysis of archaeological data, interdisciplinary work: 10

• Languages ​​– 10 points

Operational knowledge of English: C1 5, B 2; Sufficient knowledge of German for scientific reading, writing and international collaboration: C15; B2

• Scientific production / Relevant publications – 10 points

Minimum score required to pass the selection process: 60

Selection process:

A single phase of curricular evaluation and, if necessary, a second phase of interview
