We offer employment at the position of Assistant Professor (Adiunkt) in the Laboratory of Strength of Materials, Department of Experimental Mechanics, Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN). The position involves conducting research and research-and-development activities (experimental, numerical, and theoretical) in the field of materials mechanics, with particular emphasis on:

• • experimental identification of yield surfaces and constitutive material models,
• • investigation of the mechanical properties of materials manufactured using additive technologies,
• • analysis of the behavior of materials and structures under complex loading conditions,
• • development and validation of material models based on experimental data,
• • application of advanced measurement techniques and methods for identifying material parameters.

The work includes participation in scientific and applied research projects carried out at IPPT PAN, collaboration with research teams, and publication of research results in reputable international scientific journals.

• • PhD in technical sciences (preferably in mechanical engineering or a related field)
• • Documented research experience, supported by scientific publications, in the field of experimental mechanics of materials, in particular in the identification of yield surfaces and constitutive material parameters, as well as in the investigation of mechanical properties of additively manufactured materials.
• • Research activity as recognized by involvement in research and R&D projects in the above areas
• • Very good command of English
• • Conformity with the IPPT PAN rules for employment in research positions
