An announcement for the position of Research Associate (Postdoc) (group of research staff) within the SONATA BIS project titled "True Bioisosteres – Structural and Thermodynamic Classification of Molecular Fragments for Ligand Design", funded by the National Science Centre (No. DEC-2021/42/E/ST4/00229).

Project Leader: Dr. Maura Malińska


Skills/Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • PhD degree in chemical sciences (candidates with an open PhD dissertation process will also be considered) or related fields.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Good command of English (at least B2 level).
  • Experience in conducting DFT calculations.
  • Proficiency in X-ray data analysis.
  • Scientific writing skills.
  • Motivated and proactive approach to work.

 

Additional qualifications:

  • Experience in performing simulations for crystalline materials.
  • Experience in searching small molecule databases, structural databases, and conformational analysis.
  • Familiarity with aspherical scattering factor models (TAAM, HAR).

 

Personal qualities:

  • Highly organized, conscientious, and reliable team player with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex ideas and results to non-experts.

The candidate must meet the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science of 20.07.2018 (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571).
