WORK ENVIRONMENT (Host Institution)

The ENS–AXA Research Chair in Geopolitics of Risk is a ten-year research program (2016–2026) that aims to bring together diverse disciplinary approaches to the study of risk and uncertainty on a global scale. The Chair in Geopolitics of Risk is institutionally affiliated with the Department of Geography at the École normale supérieure (ENS). For research activities, the Chair’s researchers are integrated into the research unit République des Savoirs. The Chair’s offices are located in the south of Paris, on the ENS Jourdan campus.

MAIN MISSION

The recruited person will work on the project “Medical Organization and Hospital Crisis Preparedness” (ANR HOPSIS) within the Geopolitics of Risk Chair at the École normale supérieure.

The recruited person will be responsible for tasks related to the HOPSIS project (80%) and will participate in other activities of the Chair (20%), contributing their disciplinary and methodological expertise within an interdisciplinary team. As part of the HOPSIS project, they will be in charge of coordinating a collective volume, conducting data analysis, organizing a workshop, and co-coordinating a mixed working group bringing together professionals and researchers. The HOPSIS research project analyzes hospital coordination in extreme situations.

Required Skills

Degree: PhD

Knowledge:

• • PhD in sociology, political science, or a related field
• • Research experience in crisis management
• • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• • Proficiency in French
• • Excellent communication skills
