Your responsibilities:

• • Develop, coordinate, manage and publish experimental research projects in the field of chemical biology, with a focus on chemical proteomics, microbiology and automation
• • Supervise and mentor students in the laboratory
• • Assist with laboratory operations, including instrument maintenance and compliance with safety regulations

Your profile

• • An excellent Ph.D. degree in chemical biology, biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology or a related field
• • Hands-on experience in proteomics (sample preparation, measurement and data analysis) or in advanced microbiology techniques (e.g., handling and genetic manipulation of anaerobic microbes, high-throughput cultivation, CRISPR/CAS)
• • Initial experience with performing enzyme assays or other protein biochemistry methods, ideally in an automated workflow
• • Knowledge in the development or application of (covalent) chemical probes is desirable
• • A highly self-motivated, creative, and proactive approach to experimental work
• • Enthusiasm for expanding your expertise into new and project-relevant areas
• • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
