The main responsibilities of the position include designing, writing, and validating protocols for animal experimentation, as well as establishing and validating protocols for cellular and molecular analyses of biological samples. The candidate will reproduce in vivo models of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and supervise or perform in vivo pharmacokinetic and anti-inflammatory studies using pharmaceutical nanocarriers. They will analyze biological samples with cellular and molecular biology techniques, interpret scientific data, and ensure its quality and traceability. The role also involves writing technical and scientific reports, contributing to the dissemination of results through research articles and oral or poster presentations, and performing regular scientific and technological monitoring.

The candidate must have proven expertise in the use of in vivo models, ideally in the context of inflammatory diseases. Proficiency in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques is required, including cell culture, flow cytometry (FACS), Western blotting, confocal microscopy, ELISA, and qPCR. They must also hold a Level 1 animal experimentation certification (“concepteur” level in France) with up-to-date training records. The candidate should be autonomous, rigorous, and well-organized, capable of managing their research project independently, while also actively participating in the supervision of interns and PhD students within the team.

Project title: Oral delivery of nucleic acids for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases

Project:

The project aims to evaluate an oral delivery system for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases using in vitro models and a TNBS-induced colitis murine model.

Objectives:

1. Compare the efficacy of an oral delivery system with conventional treatments and determine the minimal effective dose.

2.Characterize the pharmacokinetic parameters and biodistribution

3. Elucidate the mechanism of action (MoA) of the technology, focusing on targeting immune cells.
