By order issued by the Director General of the Telecommunications Institute on June 23, 2026, it was approved to open an international call to select one candidate researcher in the scientific scope of the project sns co-op, under the scope of a term contract, with a termination date undetermined, overseen by Portuguese Labour Code. Job description:

• support of the activities associated with Networld Europe, inclusive on the relevant EU projects associated
• management of relevant international events
• coordination of internal activities and projects associated with these activities, most notably alignment of European projects outside SNS, and trial and demonstration projects
• development of scientific and technological impact of these activities.

• About the position

The position is associated with the impact of technology in the society. The position holds several different components across different projects and is directly tied up to the responsibilities taken by IT as leading Networld Europe. As such the position will make sure that IT is properly recognized inside Networld Europe, and that the work performed inside IT is properly relevant for those activities. The position will be financially supported by different projects, according to the relevance of the activities of that project at that moment for the outcomes of Networld Europe.

The approximate duration of the contract will be 12 months, depending on the completion of the tasks identified above, and this period is not necessarily linked to the duration of the specific project.

• Decree-Law no. 57/2016 of 29th of August, which approved the hiring of doctorate to stimulate scientific and technological employment for all areas of knowledge (RJEC), amended by the Law 57/2017 dated 19th of July, and regulated by Regulatory Decree nr 11-A/2017, dated 29th December
• Labour Code approved by Law no. 7/2009 of 12 February, under its current Reading.
• The workplace shall be at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Polo de Aveiro, Campus Universitário de Santiago, 3810-193 Aveiro.

1. Applications are formalised by sending a Motivation Letter, addressed to the Board of Instituto de Telecomunicações, including this announcement identification, full name, parents’ names, ID card, or Citizen Card number and date, or civil identification number, taxpayer ID number, date and place of birth, marital status, occupation, residence and contact address, including email address and telephone
2. Applications shall include all supported documents encompassed by section 6 and 7 for tender admission, namely:
   1. Copy of certificate or diploma; *
   2. Doctorate thesis;
   3. Curriculum vitae detailed and structured pursuant to sections 9 and 11.
